What are SlowTrav Favorites?

We personally select all SlowTrav Favorites, based on reviews and the community's experiences with the business. Agencies/Owners will be removed from the list if we receive several "bad" reviews, if we are no longer receiving reviews for them, or if they no longer have a classified ad with us. We have not "inspected" the agency or vacation rental. Our choices are made based on feedback through the vacation rental reviews received on Slow Travel.

To be selected as a SlowTrav Favorite, the agency/owner must have a classified listing on Slow Travel. Why? For several reasons: it means that we have a "business relationship" with them; We have current contact information and can email them with questions or if any problems arise; they know about the website and want people from this community to book with them; they support the website and what we do in the travel world. An agency/owner cannot "purchase" favorite status by purchasing a classified, but we require that they have a classified before we will consider them for a favorite.
