Grow Up? No way!

Someone sent me this cartoon:

I forwarded it along to another friend, adding the comment: "Woohoo, only six more years until I'm off the hook on the whole growing up thing - hopefully my inner child can hold off the dreaded maturity until then..."

But as I typed that message, it struck me: "Ok, wait a minute, I'm only six years away from being fifty????? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...the horror...the horror..."

Don’t worry, 50 is not so bad. I’m in my fifth year of my fifth decade and I love my age because I'm not ready for the alternative!

Very cute post! :)

I went to a close friend's 50th birthday party this past weekend. It was fun but I think she is a little freaked out about this milestone. I'm a year and a half away from 50, and not really thinking about it yet. :) Like Maria said, it beats the alternative for sure!
