Came across this video, and isn't the scenery just spectacular?? And funny about the four corners "designation"!
I think this ad is cute (all the place names are real):
And here are a couple more videos for your viewing pleasure...because I'm just up too early and apparently have nothing better to do than drool over Newfoundland scenery this morning. So figure y'all should join me on my virtual journey, even if not my own videos (since I've not yet been to Newfoundland!) I can't wait for July when I get to experience this beautiful land for myself for the first time...and even better that I get to share this first visit with not only my husband and younger daughter, but also my best friend. ♥

Thanks Maria, I'm sure I will have tons of photos and videos to share! We'll be bringing the dvd-cam with us. I didn't bring it to Italy in Oct just because didn't feel like lugging it around in my carry on bag, but we're driving to Newfoundland, so that won't be an issue.

Funny, when I watched the first video (before reading your post), I thought it was a video of Ireland! I have never been to Ireland so not sure why I thought that except maybe scenes from movies. Absolutely stunning scenery!

girasoli, interesting that it put Ireland in mind for you. In one video on youtube, I noticed a comment from someone who said the scenery made her/him homesick for Ireland.

I am from Newfoundland and have hiked many of the scenes you see in these videos with my wife and three children 11, 9, 7. This will be our fourth year with all three children and six in total on the ECT (East Coast Trail) I hope your vacation goes well and depending on what time you come in July and where you will be staying there may be Ice Burgs, at this point in the season they are breaking up and are spectacular to watch! Enjoy your stay and if you like email and I will set you up with some links.

James, thanks for stopping by my blog! We're not going until mid to late July so may miss the ice burgs, but would be awesome to see them. If we don't see any this year, we'll just have to go back another time!
