I read this quotation on Barb's blog and absolutely love it!
"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."~ Neil Gaiman
I share these wonderful words on my own blog in honour of my darling daughters as they begin a new year of school/university...full of hopes and promise, reuniting with old friends and connecting with new friends, finding new ways to express themselves, growing into their talents. They are all I could imagine and more! ♥

Hi Anne,
You must feel blessed to have two such beautiful daughters. Hope they (and you) have a great year. My own daughter is entering her second year at McMaster University in Hamilton. Here's good luck to all our daughters. Cheers.

Dear Anne, I feel as though I know you. Well in some ways I have come to know you through your blog. If we lived in the same city i think we'd become good friends. Sandra, we had such a wonderful time on the gondola ride. I know some regard the experience as a tourist ripoff, but going with the girls was priceless! I'm thrilled to have such a great photo of them enjoying the ride!
Darren, daughters are indeed blessings, aren't they? I hope your daughter enjoys her second year at McMaster. It's my Sara's second year too (Dalhousie in Halifax). As I recall from my university days (way back when!), the courses are far more interesting once you get the first year introductory stuff out of the way.
Kathy - yes they are very excited! M was also a bit anxious this morning (first day back), not knowing if any of her friends would be in her class. I know she'll be fine and can't wait to hear about her day! :)
Barb, what a lovely thing to say, and I feel sure you are right! Your blog always strikes a chord in my heart, of a shared sense of celebrating life's joys and wonders. I'm glad we are at least connected through our blogs, if not in person!
