Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it.

Just so lovely. I do believe that walking is therapeudic sp? Good for sorting things out, being at peace etc. These are such nice quotes and photos. Thank you.

Barb, I love walking. These photos were taken in the hills around Florence and Fiesole when I made my solo journey there last October. I found it absolutely rejuvenating wandering around. I look at the photos and am transported back to that place and time of reflection.

A stranger checking in ... ;)
As I was looking at your beautiful photos I was imagining you walking on those charming lanes and thinking "this has to be near Florence". I see the warm fall colors that are so conducive to reflection. Love the quotes, especially Solvitur ambulando. I do a lot of that.

Maria, my friend, never a stranger! How cool that you recognized this as being near Florence - was, of course, the same trip as when we shared our three days in Venice. Such a wonderful journey. :)
