I took this picture one day in Halifax's Public Gardens. I have no idea who the two people are, I just saw them sitting there, with the beautiful spring green leaves draped down around them, and was moved to take a photo. They remind me of Simon & Garfunkel's song Old Friends:
The sounds of the city sifting through trees
Settle like dust on the shoulders of the old friendsCan you imagine us years from today,
Sharing a parkbench quietly

Hi Anne, that's a beautiful photo. It does look like two old friends sitting and enjoying a nice spring day together. I had not heard of the song before so I looked for it on Youtube. I can see now how your photo reminded you of that song. Pretty cool.
Thanks so much for sharing. Have a wonderful evening.

Beautiful! It almost looks like a watercolor rather than a photo and it goes perfectly with those lyrics. What a great sight to stumble across!
