The trouble with this week's theme is...where to start?? I have a ton of water photos...lakes, rivers, beaches, our pool, brooks, puddles, raindrops on roses...and more.
Being utterly fascinated by water, I could post a whole photo album (or seven) on this week's theme...but this is the image that caught my eye as I browsed through my collection. It's a small brook in a local park. I love the play of light and shadow and the way the liquidness comes through even in a photo.
Wade in the water at Sandi's Saturday Photohunt blog!
Speaking of wading in the water...
Bonus pics...on our way to Nice last spring, on our first visit to the French (or any!) Riviera, we decided to drive along the coast between St-Raphaël and Cannes. We had a GPS but I find those very distracting and generally prefer not to use it (unless we get utterly and completely lost, in which case it becomes my best friend! lol) Anyway, we hit St-Raphaël, saw these signs and followed the one to Bord de Mer (assuming, correctly as it turned out, that it would lead us to the road along the coast.)
Pile of roads signs in St-Raphaël:
As soon as we saw the Mediterranean, we were so excited to dip our toes that we couldn't wait until we got to Nice, we had to pull over and go for a wade immediately!
Here are my toes taking their inaugural dip in the waters of the French Riviera:
Here's the rest of me:
And Mom dipping her toes as well:
