Fantastic catch for the theme. Love it! Do you know the time of the day when you took the photo? Somehow it looks like it was at sunset. I've never been to the Palazzo Ducale. One more thing on my must see list for Venice.

Hi Maria,
It was around 2 or 3 in the afternoon, but since it was winter, the sunset was around 5:30 or so. So it was rather late in the day. I took the photo from the upper balcony (loggia?) of Basilica di San Marco. Thanks and having a great weekend!

Oh she's exquisite!
I took Alessandro in last year and then we went down to the cafe inside, and had afternoon tea while watching gondolas slip by...
Alessandro ordered the biggest sundae! All drizzled over with chocolate sauce.
