This week's PhotoHunt theme is "bridges."
Venice has almost 500 bridges so as you can imagine, I have quite a few photos that would work for this theme. In addition to photos of bridges themselves, I have tons of photos that I took while standing on a bridge. So it was a tough choice but I narrowed it down to these two.
Most of the bridges in Venice are made from brick and stone; this one has an angel on it:
A more unusual wrought-iron bridge. This bridge is pretty small but it cast some cool reflections that day:
You can find more Photo Hunters and join the hunt here.
Have a great weekend everyone and Happy PhotoHunting!

The theme is right up your alley this week. As it is up mine. I think the closest I'd get to Venice canals is by Vegas :(
The canal water on second photo is shimmering. So beautiful.

PC, your bridges are absolutely gorgeous!
And Criz Lai, your take on bridges is one of the funniest PhotoHunt posts ever. I loved it!

Annie, both photos are just lovely. I admire the way you've caught the angel relief on the top bridge, it's beautiful.
The second bridge looks so peaceful and the iron is unusual (I think) for Venice.

Lovely shots - the second one is especially nice. Sounds silly, but I'm surprised to discover that many of Venice's bridges are made from the humble red brick. Great blog, BTW.
Have a great weekend.

Lovely photos. In which sestieri is the bridge with the angel? I'd like to see it next time I'm in Venice. Mine will be also of a bridge in Venice.

Even I who have not been to Venice know abouts it bridges (along with canals and glass) -- in particular, the Bridge of Sighs. :)

Hi Annie, I love your photo theme selections! It really amazes me how different each of the bridges are. I don't think I saw a bridge that looked exactly like another, but then I haven't seen all 500, (yet that is). :)
On the second photo I just love the colors of the building and leaves and the colors in the reflection. Very beautiful!
Have a great weekend too!
