This week's PhotoHunt theme is "nautical."
Not the easiest theme in the world this week. I don't have any photos of sailors! But luckily I had this nautical relief that I saw on the island of Torcello in the Venetian lagoon.

You can find more Photo Hunters and join the hunt here.
Have a great weekend everyone and Happy PhotoHunting!

This is awesome. Just mind the floor as it could be slippery from "sea water" haha :P
Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Annie, that's a cool photo theme selection. I saw a documentary not too long ago of these two guys following in the foot steps of Marco Polo. It was so interesting and when they finally reached Venice from their long journey they were given a big celebration from the City of Venice for their achievement. I have to remember what show that was and tell you about it because I think you'd like it. Your beautiful theme photo of the relief in Torcello made me remember it.
Have a great Valentine's Day Annie!

Dear Anne, I spent 4 months in Rome last spring and came away with 12,000 photos many of which were of the small Mary shrines there, known to some as Madonninas or Madonelle. I am delighted to have been directed to your site. If you'd be interested in seeing some of the lovely shrines in Rome, I'd be happy to send you some pics. If you've seen the Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn film, Roman Holiday, you may remember that they visit one in Trastevere. It is still there and still much loved.
Hi Charlotte, I sent you an email and hope you got it. I'd love to hear more about your Roman shrine photos! Annie
