I stayed in Chapel Hill after Saturday night's game and yesterday morning, I went and walked around campus and town for a while before I drove home. I'll be heading back over there after work today (and this day is dragging!). Thanks everyone for all the well wishes for my Heels!
Here are a few photos I took yesterday. The UNC- Chapel Hill campus is so beautiful, especially in spring.
Lots of Hoopla downtown on Franklin Street
There's a building downtown with all these gargoyles on the roof, flying the Tar Heel flag
Kathy (Trek Capri) asked to see my lucky pompom, so here it is! It is doing a fine job working its magic so far. :)
Kathy, this is for you too. I saw several of these "Vote Anoop" posters hanging around town yesterday!
So I'm pretty excited and a little bit nervous. I'm not crazy about the fact that Michigan St. has the home court advantage, with the championship game being played in Detroit, but the Tar Heel players don't seem that concerned about it. Lawson said, "we play pretty good on the road" and they do.
We played Michigan St in December and beat them by 35 points but their best player was hurt and didn't play, so tonight's game should be closer than that.
Eight hours and 21 minutes til tip-off.
Go Heels!

Hi Annie, today is the Day! This is an awesome post! And I love all the photos you took on campus (and what a beautiful campus UNC has). I think all the Tar Heel banners and flags being flown are so cool!
And thank you so much for taking a photo of your lucky pom pom. That's so cute! It sure is doing it's magic! And I love that Anoop poster with the Vote message! :) His fans are definitely doing their job in supporting him. I'm sure he'll be bringing it strong this week on Idol!
Gosh, I'm so excited for you and your Tar Heels Annie! Go Heels! Whoo hoo!

What a lovely campus, I imagine how beautiful it must be with the change of seasons.
Love all your 'blue' photos, especially the one of the lucky pom-pom.
I'll be watching tonight and cheering from here.
Good luck to the team and to everyone in NC!

Wow! Lucky you, spring is already there. Can't say the same here in Montreal, no leaves no flowers and it's still cold...

Maria, no paint on me but I did see quite a few blue painted people last night. And the pompom is already safely back in its drawer.
Sheri, thanks!
