This week's PhotoHunt theme is "Electric." I'm looking foward to seeing what folks come up with for this theme.
An old building here in NC, probably built before electricity. You can see that the electric wires are visible outside on the tin ceiling, rather than hidden away out of sight behind the walls.
And here's one in Venice with electric Christmas lights reflected in a flooded calle (street) during acqua alta (high water).
You can find more Photo Hunters and join the hunt here.

The shot in Venice is so beautiful and I also like the feature in the old NC building. It is interesting how differently wires are handled in modern buildings and in ones where electricity was used after the original construction.
I am so happy about cooler weather here in NC! Happy weekend.

Beautiful Venice even in the dark with the glitter of electricity reflected on the wet pavement. Great take.

Hi Annie, two great choices for this week's theme. Interesting to see how things are adopted in order to add the modern convenience of electricity to older buildings.
I love the reflection of the christmas lights on the flooded calle during acqua alta in Venice. Very beautiful!
Have a great weekend!

As early as September, there are already Christmas lights in the Philippines. Calle is "kalye" back home.

The first photo puzzled me when I saw it without reading the caption. I thought I was looking at a garage door from a very strange angle. Interesting photo, once I knew what it was.
Love the Venice photo! I dream of seeing Venice during the holidays with all the lights and decorations but sans acqua alta.
Have a great weekend and enjoy your time at the sanctuary!
