This week's PhotoHunt theme is "Twisted."
I've got one from Venice and one from North Carolina this week. First is a sculpture in Durham Central Park here in NC. Definitely twisted.
Next is this mosaic that's on the side of the Basilica di San Marco in Venice. One of thousands of architectural details on this amazing church, this is probably close to a thousand years old but looks kinda modern to me.
Find more Photo Hunters and join the hunt here.
Thanks for visiting and have a good weekend.

You found quite a few twisted shots! The one from NC is...er...definitely twisted, just like you said. ;-)
The rest are cool and elegant.

Those are all great shots for the theme. The one from Durham is one I used recently on my other blog for a That's My World post. The last photo in my post here has that twisted sculpture. I didn't even think about how well that would have worked for twisted until I saw yours. Happy weekend.

Hi Annie, perfect choices for this week's theme. I think the sculpture in NC is really cool especially in that setting. And I love the beautiful mosaics in Venice.
Have a great weekend!

Thousands of miles and hundreds of years apart -- yet they're both beautiful works of art! Thanks for sharing your photos of them. :)

Beautiful. I really like the mosaic from Venice. There are lots of twisted items in Venice like Scala Contarini del Bovolo. I didn't have a digital photo of it otherwise it would have been my choice this week.

I love the contrast of red and green in the sculpture photo. I had a look around while here--looks like you have a wonderful farmers market in your area. The Pimientos de padron brought back so many memories--I haven't come across any here in Australia. Thanks for stopping by.

Very cool sculpture! It brings to my mind several images, like an embrace.
The San Marco mosaic is beautiful. I don't recall ever seeing it so it goes on the list of things to look for on the next trip.
Hope you had a great weekend. Polaris and I went up to the high country and stayed in a cabin not too far from a goat farm (the one we visited on our camping trip). It was lovely and I brought some goat cheese for our next appetizer.
