This week's PhotoHunt theme is "Music."
I was surprised to see how many photos I had in the archives for this theme. Narrowed it down by focusing on string instruments~
Violins~
A mandolin at rest~
And a guitar!
You can find more Photo Hunters and join the hunt here.

These are all great choices for the theme. I love the first one and the mandolin on the the bed makes a very beautiful shot. The last one is a fun shot.
Happy weekend.

I struggled with this one even though my husband plays several instruments - I just never seem to photograph them. I love the looks of the mandolin. It looks like some exotic type of electronic guitar.

Annie,
Great photos. I totally forgot about PH this week. Gee, just checking your blog I realized, "oh yeah, yesterday was Saturday". Oh well, next week:)

Love the mandolin at rest! Is there a story behind that shot? It is very evocative...if there isn't a story, there should be!

Hi Anne, no story except that I took it at a party where lots of people were playing music. I think someone set it down for a moment. :)

Oh too bad, I so feel like that photo should have a story behind it. I think I might have to make one up!
Thanks for your well wishes! I wonder when we will be able to publish on our blogs again. Such an unfortunately time for me to be cut off from my blog - right when I'm isolated from the real world too. I'm supposed to keep myself quarantined until have been 24 hrs fever free, but the fever keeps coming back in the evenings, so haven't made it to 24 hrs yet. My spirit feels much lighter today though, which I think is a really good sign. I've been so down the whole time I've been sick, on the verge of weepiness half the time. Val's husband Mark said he noticed what a negative effect this flu had on his mood, and my mom was talking to someone else who experienced it too. It's the strangest thing.

Annie, always happy to show off my family! They are handsome lads, aren't they? And, even better, they are really sweet. When my sister and my niece were over this summer, the boys couldn't do enough for them! Unfortunately they were both away when my girls and I visited Dad in 2007, but hoping to see them next year (think they might be coming over here.)
I miss my blog too. Has been frustrating to have the blogs down at the same time I've been under quarantine - I swear I have now seen every CSI episode ever made!
Thank goodness I can finally leave my bubble today, have been fever free for more than 24 hrs so supposedly am no longer contagious. We have tickets to a show tonight with Mark and Valerie, and I've been worried I wouldn't feel up to going. But am feeling much better. Still tired, but I figure I can handle sitting in a theatre seat and listening to a Buddy Wasisname & the Other Fellers for a couple hours (they're a Newfoundland comedy trio). I'll post about it later...if we ever get our blogs back!

Great choices for the theme! I love seeing children playing the violin (my great-niece plays it).
That's a good looking mandolin. LOL at the cow playing guitar!
