This week's PhotoHunt theme is "Foreign."
Some themes are tough because you've just got too many photos that would work!
No surprise that I'm going to my favorite foreign (overseas) city for this one....a street shrine in Venice. Shrines were foreign to me growing up; I'd never seen one until I went to Europe. Now they are one of my favorite things to find and photograph.
You can find more Photo Hunters and join the hunt here.
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend.

That's a beautiful shot. Lately the themes have been hard due to either too many or too few choices.
By the way, I laughed too at the comment on mine about only speaking 3 languages. I only speak English well (and that may be debatable, ha), although I took French for many years including in college. My daughter speaks so many languages I can't even remember all the languages she has learned. I'm not kidding either. I can't keep all the names in my head. I'm pretty sure she has studied about 8 languages and it may be more.

I was overwhelmed too - so many foreign locales . . . so many pictures!
In the end I went in a slightly different route.
Have a great weekend.

How big is the shrine? It's hard to tell from the photo. In any case, it's an interesting one and I can see how these street shrines can captivate your interest. :)

Beautiful shrine. I also wondered at first which photo from a foreign country I could use but then decided to go a slightly different way when I post mine tomorrow (although the photos will be from Italy).

Again this is one of those themes that can easily take so many directions. Mine is from Venice too. I dearly love that city! Great shot and perfect for the theme.
