Burano is an island in the Venetian lagoon that's famous for its brightly painted houses. It's a happy island, about a 45-minute boat ride away from Venice, and is a fun place to visit and take pictures.

Ohhh, Annie, your photos are once more tempting me to go to Venice. But, alas, I think not this year -- as I got sticker shock when I saw how much the airfare to Europe has increased from last year... :S

Hi Annie, oh I love the bright, happy colors of Burano. I love the one with the relection of the buildings in the canal and I also love the second one with the hanging towels and potted plants. Your entire collection is perfect for the theme and it makes me miss Venice.

This is what I call a photographers haven. No doubt people are happy and alive in this island the colors are vibrant!! Great post and I so like the photos! Hard to choose which one is what I like the most I think I would choose #2 and the last one. ^_^
