This week's PhotoHunt theme is "Wrong."
I met this cat at my local Petsmart in the "available for adoption" kiosk. The poor guy was rescued after being used for dog fighting bait. He's got some injuries but is super friendly and playful. Amazing how his personality and spirit survived the abuse. I hope he gets adopted and has a wonderful life from here on out.
Dog fighting is wrong. Cruelty to animals in any form is WRONG. I can barely stand to think about it.
Thanks for visiting and have a happy weekend. You can find more Photo Hunters and join the hunt here.

I hope someone adopts the cat too. It always amazes me what a sweet nature some animals have after being rescued from abuse. I have a friend who adopted a golden retriever that had been abused and she was the sweetest dog. I also can barely stand to think about animal abuse. It is terribly wrong.
I hope you have a great weekend.

Hi Annie, what a wonderful spirit and such a cute face. I hope he gets adopted by a loving family soon. This is a very beautiful photo and a great message to spread.
Thanks so much for sharing and for writing this post. Hope you have a wonderful long Holiday weekend and that the next time you visit this petsmart, he will have been adopted.

That cat looks to have a feisty personality! If you have a chance, can you please find out for all the animal adorers, whether it was adopted?
And, for those of you who love a good animal story, have you read A Big Little Life, by Dean Koontz? I finished it in bed last night, and cried so much my eyes are still puffy this morning.

Poor guy! Any type of fighting where animals are paired against other animals and forced to fight for the sick pleasures of humans is wrong, wrong, wrong. Hopefully this guy will have a happy life now!

Sometimes I really wonder about the state of humankind when I see something like this. Hope this guy is adopted and is given and accepts a lot of pampering!

I can't stand to think about it either. I have such a soft spot in my heart for animals, and I am appalled that people could be so cruel to them.
Thanks for the photo, Annie. I too would be interested to know if the little guy/girl was adopted.
