This week's PhotoHunt theme is "Tree Branches."
A tough theme because I take so many photos of trees. To narrow it down and since it's winter, I decided to choose ones with bare branches.
This first one shows a goddess on a garden wall in Venice~
Here in North Carolina, a shadowy wall of a supermarket where I stopped for groceries on my way home from work one evening (like many of you, I carry my camera everywhere)~
And the winter solstice sunrise, taken last month~
Thanks for visiting! You can find more photohunters and see a list of upcoming themes here.

I love your choices. The sculpture peering through the first is great. I love the simplicity of the second. And the last one is a gorgeous sky behind the beauty of a tree.

Hi Annie, I love your photo collection for this week's theme. They are all so different and beautiful in their own unique and creative way. Love the composition in your first shot and I also love composition and colors in your 2nd and 3rd photos. The colors in your last photo are so vibrant...cool contrast of the dark blue with the branches on the top and the bright orange light below. Winter solstice sunrise...I love that phrase.
Have a great weekend!

All three photos are interesting in their own right -- but I find myself particularly drawn to the top most photo -- and not just because of the statue in it either. Rather, it's a very nice overall composition to my mind. :)

Beautiful branches!
And I know it is not easy to find those in Venice... I hope to see them again in May when I go to Italy.
I'm glad you are a part of The Saturday PhotoHunt.
I hope to see y'all next Saturday for a Circular moment!

Coffee is on.

Wonderful pattern of branches round the classical sculpture! The middle photo has a haunting, Zen-like romance and the last photo could be an insight into the glory of the Tree of Life! Beautiful!

Wonderful collection of photos!! Love the play of light and shadow in the middle one. And that last one - wow - that would be gorgeous in a frame on my living room wall! :)

I just love that third shot! Like you I do carry my camera with me all the time, but I still manage to miss some great shots - like the fisherman's "one that got away". :)

Breathtaking, Annie! Love your solstice shot. It certainly is a time of soul searching for me and this photo brings that to light.
