New solar homes in the Lower 9th Ward, a neighborhood devastated by Hurricane Katrina. These affordable "green" homes are being built by the "Make It Right" foundation, founded by actor Brad Pitt.

Hi Annie, I love your photo collection from Louisana. The first photo is so cool with the horse buggies in the front. And I love the Angel and water lillies too. Kudos to Brad Pitt for doing something to help NO and the environment.

Wished that I had gone inside the cathedral while we were there! Lovely waterlilies;0About the green homes: they look a little like mobile homes - are they?

Hi Emille, no they are not mobile homes. They are built of sustainable materials and also to withstand storms, I believe. There's a lot of info on the Make It Right website and more photos of all the various styles.
