San Maurizio is a deconsecrated church in Venice that's now a music museum (Il Museo della Musica di Venezia). More info about the church is here.
It's a cool place. It still looks like a church inside, with altars and sculpture and art, but also has antique musical instruments on display, music playing, and CDs for sale. You can see more photos of the interior on the museum's Facebook page.
Here's a photo of the entrance. As you can see, admission is free. Check out all the orbs in this pic!
Thanks for visiting and have a good weekend.

Hi Annie, what a cool music museum. I wished I had visited it when I was there. I'll have to remember it for next time. :)
Wow, that is a lot of orbs in your second photo. I love that it is free.
Great take on this week's theme. Have an awesome weekend.

The deconsecrated church looks like it makes for a lovely venue for a music museum. I've heard that in York, there are churches that have been turned to pubs. Am not sure if I could deal with that. A museum makes more sense to me! :)

When we go in November we are staying for the first time in an apartment next door to this church, just to the right off your photo. We've sheltered from Venetian rain several times in this church. It's interesting and FREE!

I love that there are musical instruments are on display! And the orbs are impressive - they make me think of how Bradbury portrayed Martians in The Martian Chronicles! :-)
