PhotoHunt: Close Up

Here are some close up looks inside a few of Venice's many street shrines.

The first shrine honors San Antonio (St. Anthony of Padua) while the others are shrines to the Madonna.

Santa Croce 774

Castello 984

Santa Croce 1972

San Polo 643

Thanks for visiting and have a good weekend. :)

These are all very beautiful close-up shots. Great choices. Happy Weekend

Beautiful! Good job with the theme :)

Post-having returned from a trip to Kyoto, I'm now thinking that Venice is the European version of Kyoto -- or that Kyoto is the Asian version of Venice... in that there are thousands of interesting shrines about those two cities! :b

Kathy (Trekcapri):

Hi Annie, lovely photos. I always enjoy seeing those beautiful flowers in your shrine photos. From the single rose to the beautiful bouquets.

Have a great weekend!

beautiful shots.

Very beautiful indeed!!

Amazing how many street shrines there are in Venice. All beautifully decorated.

Poor Madonnas all behind bars, lol !

Beautiful shots!

Is that a braid in the hair of the Madonna, in the 2nd last shot?

Yvonne, yes it is! An unusual look for her - the Swiss milkmaid look, perhaps?!
