The Winter 2015 edition of Smithsonian Journeys Travel Quarterly is all about Venice! I'm looking forward to reading this soon.

Thanks Kathy. I ordered a copy of this magazine online because I wasn't sure I'd have time to find a hard copy (and I wanted to hold it rather than reading it online)! But today I saw it on sale in Costco, go figure!

Thanks Annie for the post. I was going to buy it on line but today I saw it at Barnes and Noble. I just read the first article (The Genius of Venice by Roger Crowley). It's a great summary of Venice's role as a mercantile powerhouse. The other ones promise to be as interesting as this one.
