Photohunter: BLUE!

Photohunt topic this week is...Blue!

My granddarling at the base of the Eiffel Tower, after her famed ascent of the tower this summer!
You go, darlin'!

and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.” ~ Lyman Frank Baum

Great shot - Eden had a similar one. I really must make it to Paris one of these days.

You'd love it there!
But, you must have at least 2 weeks, because the longer you are there, the more you want to be there, to see and do and taste and walk and enjoy...well, maybe 4 - 6 weeks!

Perfect blue!

:-) Thanks!
I love this photo, because the granddarling looks so smug and proud of herself for her just-completed tower climb. So she should be, I wasn't brave enough to attempt it, so she really earned the glory!

So do I! (insert big toothy grin graemlin here!)
She looks like she just climbed Everest, doesn't she?

Very cool!! When I was there in 1999, the lights were golden. I love the blue!!

Moi, aussi, girasole!
I love the lights and the stars on the front of the tower, symbolizing the European Union.
Here's a quote from the Eiffel Tower website:

"France will mark the start of its six-month presidency of the European Union by lighting up the Eiffel Tower in blue with yellow stars, recalling the EU flag, newspaper Le Parisien reported on Friday."

Wow - incredible blue pic. :)

Happy PhotoHunt and happy weekend. ;)

Thanks, Miss Leslie!
Happy Photohunt right back at ya!
Ciao, bella,
