This week's Photohunter topic is...Squeaky!
![]()
It's winter, we have tons of that beautiful white stuff on the ground and it definitely squeaks when we walk on it. My driveway was heaped with a huge dump of fresh snow and I managed to get my car stuck at the end of the driveway.
What was I thinking?
There's no way a car can make it up the driveway in this kind of wet heavy snow, especially when it's a couple of feet deep!

I just had flashbacks of the squeaky sound snow can make :) Interesting how a photo and a description can bring back memories.

Sandi,
It's actually gorgeous! I love the winter, the snow and the crisp clean air...I HATE the bitter cold when the temps drop below -20C!
Jerry,
I do so!
On the other hand, I have a neighbour with a Bobcat and a blade, so I never shovel my driveway at all. THAT'S the best solution...let someone else do it!
Susan,
How cool that you know the sound! It's interesting also how some snow squeaks and some doesn't. I think it might have something to so with the moisture content in the snow...dry snow squeaks more than wet snow. Wet snow is such slop that it makes no noise except for a kinda sloppy-sloppy sound.

Wow, that's a lot of snow! We are getting whopped with a blizzard tonight, so there may be a few cars looking just like your picture!
Hope you and your family have a Happy and safe New Year's!

I KNOW! I hate shoveling my driveway, so I leave it until the neighbours feel sorry for me and they bring their Bobcat with a blade over and do it right! ;-)
Happy New Year to you and your family!
