This week's Photohunter is Bridge!
Let's see, I need to think about it for a minute...
Oh, yes! Now I know what to do!
One evening in Venice, we were walking along the water's edge and I saw this lovely scene peeking out from under a bridge...Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute with the sun setting behind her.

A little further back...

Oh I LOVE these! This is a very unique perspective of a church that's photographed thousands of times everyday. Great job!

Kim, Cindy, Kathy...
I'm pleased that you like this photo! I want to get it enlarged and framed, now to figure out how to do it best!

girasole,
:-) Thanks for your post!
I took several photos of the cathedral from underneath the bridge, and was looking for the colours in the water. That was what drew me to the scene.

Palma,
Good for you! Painting with watercolours...that's the toughest medium to work with. So, you're really brave to take it on. I love it, even though it makes me completely crazy some days.

Nancy,
Thanks! Me and my quotes, huh? Often someone else's words can say better what I feel or enhance what I think, so I go looking for that very thing. I'm happy to know it works!

Annie,
Awwww, that's so nice of you!
I never made it across the water to spend time in this cathedral, so that's a definite for my next trip to Venice.

Jerry,
Thanks so much! It was a fun time looking for the 'perfect' angle for the colours of the sky, the water and the cathedral...this moment only lasted for the blink of an eye and then a few cruise ships sailed into view, dropped anchor and blocked my sight. Grrrrrr!
