PhotoHunt:garbage

photohunter7iq.png

The theme for this week's photohunt is garbage.

This is a very interesting theme, I am curious to see what others would come up with.

I couldn't choose between couple photos, so I decided to post them both. The first one is of a Venetian woman sweeping the road in the alley in front of her place, garbage bags are waiting to be picked up. Picking up the garbage in Venice is a hard task, as there are no cars or trucks, just people ,going door to door, pushing their carts that they load up with the garbage.

The second one is of an interesting sculpture on the side of the road in front of the MBK center(one of the shopping malls) in Bangkok. It looks like a garbage basket turned over and gems are spilling out; one man's garbage is another man's treasure, perhaps?

Happy weekend everyone!

Lovely peaceful shots both. Mine come from anger this time.

Have a great weekend.

Very nice post. I enjoyed the pictures!

Great shots. You just wouldn't see anyone here sweeping outstide their front. I love the installation. Quite amusing!

Kathy (Trekcapri):

Hi Candi, wonderful photos. It was also interesting to me the manner in which garbage was collected in Venice with so many bridges.
Love your second photo too and your interpretation sounds right.

Great choices for this week's theme! Have a great day today.

I'm curious to see what the others come up with as well. I had a pic of a Venetian garbage man but ended up going in a slightly different route . . .

Have a great weekend Candi!

That sculpture tells us what it's all about!!!

This week's theme will be quite interesting to see what everyone came up with for their photos. Yours, my friend, is excellent actually!!! Mine is posted, come on over to my blog, if you can...

Have a great Saturday.

Excellent take on the theme. The logistics of dealing with garbage in Venice are so interesting. And that is one cool looking sculpture; I love it!

Have a great weekend!

Two excellent photos for this theme. I love the piece of sculpture. Odd but interesting.
Happy weekend.

I like them both. Great selections for this week's theme. I passed on the theme (or have so far). I'm just not coming up with anything.

Aloha Candi,
Great pictures for this week's PH theme.
Thank you for stopping by:)

Happy PH,

My construction trash or garbage is up.

what a sculpture! great pics for photohunt

thanks for your visit

These are great - I'm really partial to that sculpture - an interesting spin...

Thanks for stopping by!

"One man's trash..." was basically the theme of mine, though mine is a lot more wordy (I have to do one where I just post a photo -- ONE photo).

I like the sculpture!

The Venetian alley is charming, garbage or no. Glad I don't have to haul it out, though

jam:

I like the giant basket in the second one!

liz:

What an unusual sculpture and an interesting point you make about the Venetian rubbish collection.

Great shots, both! But I do like the first one. I like seeing everyday photos from other places.

Thanks for visiting my Garbage post last week. :)
