Okay, I just can't resist sharing more of the photos we and our mahouts have taken during the three days we spent at the conservation center.
Me and Tantawan
Getting off Tantawan
One of the many lakes in the preserve
Some water fun with the elephants
The scooter we rode back to the resort
View from our room at the Elephant Resort
Elephant Resort Bridge
Other elephants at camp
And this last photo we took while trekking of nor-camp elephants and the more common way for tourists to ride elephants.

Hi Candi, these are great. It looks like you had to slide off and maybe have a little bit to jump to get off of Tantawan. And I didn't realize how much you had to get in the water and get wet along with them. Looks like fun! The surroundings are beautiful. And your resort looks cool too.
After looking at your last photo, the Center experience was definitely the better choice.
Thank you so much for sharing more of your photos Candi. Have a great day today.

I love all these photos. The resort looks very beautiful.
Riding an elephant is amazing enough but going swimming with them too is just so cool!

Candi, I'm trying to catch up on all that I've missed and find these elephant photos so incredible. What adventures you have had. Exotic to say the least. Thank you.

Very cool!! Did you ever fall off the elephant while in the water? It really looks like paradise there! I don't think I would want to leave (at least for a week or so). How was the food?

Girasoli, I did, couple times, although I tried to hold on his ears or trunk or something, but my elephant really liked to get all the way down in the water:)Ah, fun times!
The food was great, we had breakfast and lunch prepared for us by the resort staff, and then the program coordinater and his girlfriend prepared delicious dinners for us. Thai food was great really everywhere we ate.
