The Grand Canyon being one of the natural wonders of the world doesn't need me to attest to its beauty. The steep gorge that is 277 river miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and a mile deed can vouch for its uniqueness and magnificence. Seeing the Grand Canyon was pleasantly overwhelming. Standing in the middle of this marvelous landscape was thought inspiring and spiritually empowering. It was more than a visit, it was a magical experience.

We visited the North Rim part of the Grand Canyon National Park, since it is the closer to Southern Utah where we were. It amazes me that the two rims of this enormous canyon are ten miles apart, and yet it takes one an almost five-hour drive to get from the South to the North Rim and vice verse.

The North Rim rises a thousand feet higher than the South Rim. It offers fewer services, but the views are in no way less magical. We had a great time strolling around the north rim of the canyon and gazing down at its deepness. We also walked the 0.4-mile path to Bright Angel Point, where the views were spectacular and the visibility was great. We camped at the North Rim Campground, which was an incredible experience without the presence of my friends the bears. It was truly a wonderful day, with its only vice being too short.

I have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon. Was it crowded when you were there?

girasoli, around Bright Angel Point(which is practically behind the visitor's center) was crowded, other parts not so much. But we were in the North Rim, the least visited rim of the canyon, I imagine the South Rim to be a different story.
