The theme for this week's photohunt is average. What a tough theme!
We took this photo from the top of Rome's famous Spanish Steps on a beautiful summer day in June of 2008. I'd like to think that the crowds do not represent the average number of Rome's daily visitors, but they probably do.
Happy Weekend all!

I sat there and watched the average crowd. Lovely. "Bello" take on the theme :)
Happy PH and happy weekend!

Maybe it'd be less crowded in winter? In any case, hope you had a pleasant time in Rome despite the crowds!

Rome is such a beautiful city.... I believe the average number of visitors daily are probably more than what you saw. Happy weekend!

Wow, that is a crowd though that number would just be average where we are since there are a few places to visit :(

I've been to the Spanish Steps a couple times, and that looks pretty average for summer. It's one very busy place. Great take on the theme.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Seems like a high average, but it wouldn't surprise me either.

Last time I was on the Spanish Steps it was late at night and pouring rain--we were all alone. I agree with you that this week's theme was a tough one.

The last time I visited the Steps was in January 2008 -- it was less crowded than this! But I think you're right, this would be "average" on a summer day.
