Ciao from Milano. We arrived here at 3pm without any problem. I will do a separate post about son's borrowed GPS, later.
As we pulled up to the front of the hotel the bellhop looked like he was about to wave us off, but I opened the door and said we were here to check in and needed the car parked.
He immediately welcomed us and started unloading the car, as I went to check in. This is the hotel that I prepaid in advance to get a better rate through Expedia. I don't usually like to do this but in this case it was worth a lot of money. And I am glad we did it this way.
Wow, we have been upgraded to a suite from a deluxe double room. We have three balcony doors we can go out, a business centre where I am with my laptop, a table 3 chairs, nice bathroom ...and so on. I like it.
As we entered we both said we might not ever go out. Well, you know we will in an hour.
So far, so good.
More tomorrow.
ciao,
chiaro
Well, the next post got lost somewhere, so here it is again.
We headed out for a walk before dinner and ended up walking by some pretty exclusive shops like Fendi, D & G, etc. Only went in the ones with baby items and came out with nothing. The prices are extremely high for these designer brands and the baby would only wear the clothing for a couple of months so it didn't make any sense to buy there, although the items were beautiful.
I started wondering where the ordinary people (like us would buy their kid's clothes) and thought it might be a department store. In my post for the next day you'll see we went to a department store and found out.
Anyway, it was getting close to 7pm and the stores were closing, so we walked back to our hotel neighbourhood and found this restaurant for dinner. Being early, we didn't have any trouble getting a table, but right after that the place was packed and there were lineups continually to get in.
