Good review, Chiaro -- you explained the problem very clearly. What a shame they let you down like that, especially when you had had such a great experience in the past!
I noticed another TA review of the same place where the author felt they had been victims of a kind of bait-and-switch.
I don't think I'd want to take my chances with a place that seems to be establishing a bit of a track record for that.

Yes, I recall reading a few reviews with similar problems for other places in Rome before I booked this rental my first time.
After staying there a few years ago, I was really shocked to arrive and find this circumstance facing me.
Several people have told me I should post a review because I had been recommending this place in the past.
Our 3 nights in Rome were really affected by this fiasco, but we enjoyed ourselves when away from the rental.
