The Best Trip Ever

I was so happy to be in Provence again that I hardly noticed the cold and rain. (Well, at first I hardly noticed. After I ran out of clean socks and my feet got cold, I noticed quite a bit.)

We spent our first two nights at Kevin Widrow's Le Mas Perreal, a perfect B&B in a beautiful setting. It was great to see Kevin and to enjoy his fabulous breakfasts again. Their garden (photo above) is lovely!

Then, we had dinner on Friday night with Kathy and Charley Wood! I was excited to finally meet them after talking to Kathy via the message board and email for years now. We had a great time.

Before Slowtrav, Frank and I usually travelled in a bubble of our own and rarely spent time with other people except for casual conversations with strangers along the way. Now we've been able to spend time with Amy and Larry in Paris, Karen and Craig and Ken and Walt in the Loire and and everyone here in Provence. I'm enjoying this so much!

Today we're going on the inaugural hike of Kevin's new hiking club, where we'll meet David and Marianne Wilkinson from the Mas Pamona who hosted a Slowtrav GTG last year. On Friday we're having lunch with Kathy and Charley's Luberon Experience group at the goat farm at Castellas, where I'm told no baby goats will be sacrificed for our meal!
