Who'd have thought it - Færoes

Here I am using a blog like it's meant to be used. Miracles will never cease. Anyway here I am at Torshavn in the Færoes, staying at an apartment with Pam and others. We arrived yesterday and I have finally perpetrated the depths of both the Nordic keyboard and my own mind to the point of working out how to log in here!
This morning we were taken by our friend who's taken the apartment to se old Torshavn - an amazing place where old government buildings and residences still used coexist in the same 'street'.
This afternoon we were taken in dazzling sunshine for views of two fjords from a mountain road and some more southerly islands before visiting Kirkabour, an utterly fascinating place with a disused cathedral and a fabulous old house, part of which is open to the public.
