To Slow Time Down

We arrived on Saturday afternoon - an hour late (thanks Alitalia), but everything has gone great since. We are in a very nice apartment in Trastevere, within walking distance of a lot of Rome.

Sunday we followed a walking tour forn the AAA Spirla Guide Rome book - ended up at the Vatican.

Monday back to the Vatican early for the Scavi Tour - more about that later in a TR - then toured St. Peters before climbing to the top of the Dome - got some great pics - then over to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel.

Tuesday over to the Colosseum, picked up the Roma Pass and spent the next few hours in Ancient Rome (Colosseum and the Forum).

Today, we have just come from a GTG with Doru and several others near Campo de Fiori.

I get up early each morning and wander the nearby streets in Trastevere, stopping for a cafe before trying to find my way back to the apartment. Yesterday, Liz and I walked over to the marketr at Campo de Fiori to buy the ingredients for last night's dinner.

Tomorrow we wre off to the Borghese Gallery and Gardens in the morning and will spend the rest of the day in the area around Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps. By for now.
