I am a lurker turning blogger during my spare time. Work is playing with small children all day, i.e. teaching kindergarten. I spend a lot of time at work, and day dreaming about the travels I could be taking.
Family is very important to me which now includes a daughter in law and two grandsons... Izzy who is 3 and Baby Mikey who is almost 7 months old. Love being a grandma! I have 3 children, well all young adults now - 2 sons and daughter in the middle.
I am a transplant to Northern California from the Philippines via the islands of Micronesia where I lived and taught for four years. Northern California has been home for over 30 years and I love it here. My hobbies lately include spending a lot of time (more than I would like to admit) on Slow Travel and reading other people's blogs and trip reports. Vicarious travel can be fun too...
