Izzy, is my new grandson, who turned 4 years old two Sundays ago. He spent most of his birthday with his dad and probably with lots of sugar intake.
When he came home to his Mom and stepdad (my son), he was full of energy. To add to an already energitic day, we had to celebrate with cake and ice cream, in Izzy's honor. More kenetic energy at work!
After a few "Calm down, Izzy" pleadings, my son threatened him with the gypsies who might come and pick up wild boys. (I know its terrible to say that to a child... but wait for the ending of the story, anyway.) A few more "Calm downs" my S pretended to call the gypsies on his cell phone and had a "conversation" about a goat in exchange for a wild kid.
So after a while and more "Calm downs" my S carried Izzy out to the front deck. My younger son followed behind them, hid in the bushes and in his best gypsy voice called out "Is this the place where there is a wild young boy?"
Izzy, confused for a bit called back out to the voice and asked, "Uncle M, do you have a goat?"
My two "adult" (subject to question) sons came back in the house laughing. Izzy still a bit confused reported "Grandma, Uncle M has a goat."
So that is how a 4 year old brain works... Or maybe you had to be there... it was funny at that time. :)
I am going to try to post Izzy's pic. I hope the image is re-sized and won't jump at you!
