I stole this idea from Amy. I thought it is a great topic for one of the daily blog. (So I am saving this for future publication.)

10 Things You May Not Know About Me:

1. I slept in John Steinbeck's bedroom - in his boyhood home in Pacific Grove. I had one student teacher who is John's grand daughter.

2. I lived in Yap Islands in Micronesia for four years.

3. I taught a roomful of students in grass skirts and loin cloths when I taught in Micronesia.

4. I "stalked" Michael Chiarello of Food Network (in Napa) after seeing him on TV. I also crashed his party (same time) at one of the wineries. He was promoting his book Napa Stories. AnnieK was my partner in crime! :)

5. I love to be near the ocean although this Filipina can't swim very well.

6. I once saw or spotted a father seahorse with a baby seahorse in his pouch. This happened when I was swimming/snorkling in my home island - Cebu, Philippines.

7. I spend too much time online, need some self-direction and discipline. Sad but true.

8. I wish I were more proficient in English and were a better writer. I am an English Learner.

9. I finished all my coursework for an EdD but I can't make up my mind on a dissertation topic.

10. I should be working on my dissertation (boring) instead of blogging (more fun).
