Confused Or Bi-colored Roses

I am not much of a gardener, nah, not a gardener by even the remotest imagination. I plant things and expect them to just grow and do their things with not much expectations from me. So I decided to plant some roses a few years back. They are on the edge of the driveway adjacent to my neighbor's lawn. Lucky for me or lucky for those roses, they get watered when my neighbor water their lawn. So they flower, some looking scraggly... but some of them look pretty good. Like this one ...

Now, there is this one that is catching my attention lately. I planted this a while ago and it blooms. This year I noticed that some of the flowers are yellow and some are red - all from one rose bush! Is that normal? Or is this rose bush taking after my bi-cultural family???? Makes me wonder....

Donna:

Eden, maybe that bush was grafted??

Those roses are beautiful!!

Jill:

As a fellow non-gardener, I love the wildness of your rosebushes. And their biculturalism. :-D

Anne:

I definitely need low maintenance plants - no green thumbs in sight! Wild (and wild looking) roses are one of my favourite flowers. We had a gorgeous wild rose hedge at our old place. Wish I could have brought it with me when we moved a few years ago!
