Staycation #2 - Road trips can be fun

Ok, this report is somewhat backwards - when we went to Southern California for the July 4th weekend, we drove all those miles. My daughter did most of the driving. My driving scares her, I think. It was nice to have a colleague of hers join us on this trip...

We stopped at Casa de Fruta. I have not visited this place before. It was a nice stop for the kids... including the big kids who enjoyed coffee and pastries. Little kids enjoyed the amenities of the "park". I think it is a park...

Here is another pic of my favorites - daughter and little boys....

At Casa de Fruta, we got to stretch out our legs ... yeah, after an hour and a half drive. Ok yes, we stopped after driving only that short distance. We are wimps when it comes to road trips. :) Here is Baby Mikey stretching out his legs, walking it out, ok... wobbling it out.

There will be more road trips this summer - perhaps stopping at new-to-me places...
