Sharing life with Cat

I am not really a cat person. But my daughter needed to farm out her cat, Busta ... so now there is a cat in the house. I am trying to adjust. I do not know how my good friend, AnnieK peacefully co-exists with her cats, yes 2!

I am trying to share my space with this creature. Busta decided that my bed can be shared. He tells me loud and clear when he needs something - food, water, attention. He has taken one of the side table in the front room to sit and watch the world go by and also to wait for someone to come home and keep him company.

I did not know that cats can be vegetarian. Today I decided to buy myself flowers. Right after I put the arrangement on the table, Busta decided they were good for snacking. Perhaps not right away, but soon thereafter. This picture was taken right after I sat the vase on the table.

Thinking when to start the vegie snack or contemplating if he makes a good centerpiece...

Although I caught him in the act of eating the centerpiece, I have no evidence that may be admissable enough to make a case... He is much too quick for this old broad. :)

AnnieK:

One tip, keep lint remover rollers in every room and one in the car, because you will be wearing half of Busta's fur, and the whole world will know you are now a cat lady.

Out of four cats that we had in our home, only one loved to snack on houseplants. He'd chew only the leaves and a few minutes later he'd vomit them. I don't know why he’d subject himself to this but for his sake I had to remove all foliage from the house.

Busta is a cutie and to me he looks very innocent :-)

Your cat looks just like our Victor. Nice Christmas china in the background BTW - mom has the same set! *smile*

I don't think my LuLu actually eats the flowers but she loves to rub against the vase and usually ends up knocking it over. :)

Busta is a beautiful cat!

sandrac:

....and yet he looks so innocent. And uninterested in the whole affair!

Eden:

AnnieK, I bought a few of the lint remover rollers that you suggested. Geez, with all the fur that he leaves on my black pants, it is a wonder how much fur he has left on his body still!

Maria I, looks can be deceiving.. he is not that innocent... LOL. Thank goodness, he has not spilled back out the petals hes chewed!

Eden:

Jerry, I should be putting the Spode dishes away since it is not even close to the holidays but I am so lazy to put the Christmas china away... so they stay on display all year... Tell your Mom she has good taste in China.. LOL.

Victor maybe better behaved than Busta.

Eden:

Annie, this cat actually eats the tiny purple flowers. I am just glad is does not get sick from that.

Sandra, do not let that look of innocence fool you. He is devilish...

Anne:

Aw, what a sweetie!! I think he makes a great centrepiece :)
