Before I left for Washington D.C., my friend, Wanda, called me to tell me the address of the Official Inaugural Store in the District. I never made it there. But there was no shortage of the "Official" stuff. They were in every stand, on every street corner and sidewalk. How official is that? LOL. Here are my "official" souvenirs!!!
First let's start with my Official metro ticket. I used this a couple of days, until demagnitization with $20.00 left on it! I am helping the district's economy, for sure.
Official hat
There were many official shirts. :)
Here is my very own official Official shirt
How about an Official water bottle?
I did not open this water bottle... saving it for (EBAY) posterity... :) I hope it will grow no algae.
And lastly, Norma brought this to me this past weekend, my favorite - Official Obama Watch! There was another kind with bling but Norma passed on that one. :)
I have many more. Remember, I needed a new bag and had to pay another $25 for a second checked- in bag with USAir! Among my treasured possessions are multiple postcards, Washington Post, USA Today, a host of other magazines and newspapers, stickers, bumper stickers, etc.... But, I know when to stop before I totally bore you. :)
Perhaps this can be my retirement "savings" / investments....
Which one is your favorite?

You didn't get an Obama bobblehead doll? They were everywhere when we were in DC in December.

I'm not bored at all, these are very cool. The water bottle makes me laugh. I'd probably frame that metro ticket.
In the mall last week, I saw this young girl with a very cool pair of Obama earrings on - she got them from a vendor at the Inauguration, she told me.
Great post!

Jerry, I did not see any of the bubble heads... I would have added one to my collection. :)
Annie, earrings would have completed my collection as well. One of my friends wore a pair (plastic ones) with her gorgeous formal when she attended one of the Official Balls. :)

I probably never told you that I have been thinking how cool it was that you got to go to this, and now you have quite the collection of souvenirs as well. Hope to see you again soon.

I like them all, the hat you can cover the " Bi " & put your " E " instead, that would be cool...
