Moon and Venus

Last night, I was coming home from work when I noticed something that really caught my eyes and interest. I asked my daughter to see what I saw up in the sky and tell me what that was next to the crescent moon. We tried to take pictures but they did not turn out so well. Here's one of ours.

We came back in and looked online and found out that Venus was visible to the naked eyes the next few nights and they even had a nice picture of what it should look like.... just like what I saw up there. A bit different from the way ours look. LOL

I was so thrilled to see it .... I guess it does not take much to get me excited ... :)

I was smitten by the moon and Venus but did not think of getting my camera out. Great shot, Eden!

Isn't it so exciting to see things like that that are rarely visible? Glad you got to enjoy it.

Cool shot, Eden. I love it when Venus looks like a planet instead of like a star!

I think your shot is very good, Eden.

Nice picture! I am rather clueless when it comes to stars and planets so this was pretty cool!

Cool shot . . . we had some great views of Venus a few weeks ago but I never thought of getting my camera out. :-(

Barb Cabot:

Looks so pretty and I just loved the sound of "moon and Venus" sounds so nice.

Marcia:

Great shot. We saw it driving home from dinner but of course, no camera on us.
