Seahorses, anyone?

A few weekends ago, my family went to Monterey. (I will finish and post my blog about that weekend... soon )

We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium as my grandsons are facinated with everything ocean. I love seahorses so that is where I wanted to hang out. Wouldn't you know it? When I got there, the battery on my camera died. So I pleaded with my daughter to take some seahorse photos.... I just love them.

These two look like the ones I see when swimming in the sea in my hometown, Samboan in the Philippines.

I love the trumphet-like front on this one.

I think these green ones are beautifully fascinating...

I love seashores too. Lovely shots, Eden,

Very cool. I love seahorses too. They are sweet looking creatures. :)

OK, I feel like I misspelled the work, seahorses, what was that I typed? LOL>

Sea horses are so beautiful. Once my brother brought back a whole bunch dried and we hung them on our Christmas tree.

sandrac:

Is that really a seahorse? Very cool! I've always wanted to see one.

Barb Cabot:

I find them fascinating as well. They seem magical and make believe.

sheri:

Great photos,Eden!

These are great pictures. I love seahorses also. I can stare all day and watch them float around a tank.

WOW, Eden! These are great pictures. I had to really study the last one to find the seahorse in that light green "plant"!

Eden:

Candi, until you called my attention to the typo, I actually read it (seashores) as seahorse....but then I love seashores too. :)

Eden:

Annie and Marta, somehow I too can stare at these lovely creatures all day... they just seem so peaceful and calming.

Angie, I've heard of dried seahorses too, although I have never seen them.

Sandra, I did not realize how many varieties of seahorses there are... amazed me.

Barb, magical - perfect descriptive word for them.

Sheri and Deborah, thank you and thanks for commenting. :)

Anne:

I thought that last one WAS a plant! How beautiful they all are. I too love seahorses, although have never seen a live one in person, just on videos. A really cool great aunt of mine used to have several seahorse skeletons (?) on the all of her enclosed porch, along with various shells and nets and other sea related relics. I adored hanging out there and pretending to be out in a boat on the ocean blue!
