This is the last day, actually last morning for the students to be in Paris. They move on towards Normandy... We - Tracey, Katrina, and I will stay in this beautiful city and explore Paris on our own.
But first a visit to The Louvre. It is a must, right. We have the morning to do it. We are going to see a few pieces, highlights!
When I decide to live here someday, I may be able to explore The Louvre, every corner of it...
We all got on the Metro with the plans to transfer near Champs Elysees and get ourselves as close to the Louvre as we can... As it turned out, that metro stop was closed so we walked from the Champs Elysees across the Tulleries gardens.

Oh this brings painful memories of my first visit to Paris, when The Bad Girls of Paris - Margaret, Kathy Q, Kathy L and myself walked from The Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe! We were following our leader Kathy L... fun albeit aching feet!!!
Back to today. We walked and got in line... as soon as we got to the pyramid that the musee is known for. Why are the lines so long everywhere?

Flat Stanley and I got in line.
We were on a mission:

The Winged Victory!

Venus de Milo!

Mona Lisa!

The Wedding Feast of Cana!

The Coronation... compare it to the one at Versailles

Blurry but impressive in real-life!
Then like any tourist, we stopped at the museum store and bought tons of books for my granddarlings!!!
We are off to lunch! Where is that restaurant that Angelina Jolie was sitting at at the opening scene of her movie The Tourist? We are going there for lunch.
