Taking a different take on the "flat" topic... :)

When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "My dear child, why are you crying?"

The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family. The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with sapphires.

"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked.

The seamstress replied, "No."

The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a golden thimble studded with rubies.

"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked.

Again, the seamstress replied, "No."

The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble.

"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked.

The seamstress replied, "Yes."

The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.

Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water. When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, "Why are you crying?''

"Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!"

The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney. "Is this your husband? The Lord asked..

"Yes," cried the seamstress.

The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!"

The seamstress replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said "no" to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt.

Then if I said "no" to him, you would have come up with my husband.... Had I then said "yes," you would have given me all three. Lord, I'm not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said "yes" to George Clooney.

And so the Lord let her keep him.

The moral of this story is:
Whenever a woman lies, it's for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others. That's our story, and we're sticking to it.

Yesterday, in Kindergarten we had our Fourth Annual Snow Play Day. Here - one of my students with a little "Fluff" in her hands. This was taken at the end of the day... so not much left.

Bliss- That is what came to mind when I saw this picture of my niece, Abigail. She is in the Philippines. I think she looks like she found her Bliss!

Are we there yet?

Here is my take on "Circular". My daughter in law is one crafty lady. She made headbands by re-purposing old T-shirts. She needed a model for her crafts and poor Mikey became the model for the day! I guess that is what happens when you have a housefull of boys! You jsut go with whoever is willing to model.

Poor Mikey! LOL

Mikey does not seem to mind though. Besides he looks so cute, no matter what!

Three moved away - Kathy L to San Diego to be near her daughters, Kathy Q to Boston on a job transfer, Sharron to Minden ... so there are three of us left in the Bay Area...

We would meet a few times a year for various things.... Today we met at Piatti's in Danville for brunch. ( I was missing the other three as we all have been here before...) :)

We started with some Prosecco.

Margaret had an Egg Sardou... Poached Eggs, Creamed Spinanch, on Artichoke Hearts. Looks so delicious... I am having this next time.

Kim had Eggs Benedict. Looked really yummy....Canadian Bacon, English Muffins, yumm is right!

I had Crab Cakes benedict.

Wonderful day to enjoy good food and specially good times with great friends.

Here is my version of Bling.... Takes an entirely different meaning with 5 year olds!

Here is a "blingy" necklace. R said he loved this "diamond-like" necklace that he asked his mom to buy it for me!

E's Mom said that E declared that "this "gold" christmas watch is perfect for Ms. Adams!"

One time I said I loved bracelets, so here are a couple that my students brought in for me.

Perhaps, next time I should be more specific... that I love real diamonds, pearls, gold, etc! I love my "Bling" presents!!!

Lucky the girl who will marry him someday. He maybe doing the cooking!!!

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.

I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work. I live close so it's a short drive.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenaline flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

People keep telling me I'm in Denial but I'm positive I've never been there before!

I have been in Awe many times; the older I get, the easier it is to get there. I actually kind of enjoy it there.

So far, I haven't been in Vincible; so my travel agent always makes me buy travel insurance.

When Wyatt joined the boys, his big brother, Izzy, was so overcomed with love that he got very emotional. Izzy said, he loved him so... already! And Izzy continues to be such a caring big brother - "Kuya" in Tagalog. (Izzy, I hope you don't mind my publishing this photo.)

Every day in Kindergarten brings surprises!

On the last day before winter break I usually get gifts from my class... In the past, I get the standard mugs, "Best Teacher" ornaments... etc.

Well, this year - NO MUGS! NO BEST TEACHER whatever... I got much more!

SURPRISES! Who or what other teacher would get this????

I said "Oh yumm, Chocolate milk!" One of my readers said "It says "Adult Chocolate Milk. What's that?"

Yes, it says "Sex On The Beach"! LOL

SURPRISE! Kindergarten surprises... By the way, I got much more than these... :)

Liam is a darling of a 3 year old. He is so smart... and I am not just saying that. He is reading some words... spelling them too! That kindergarten teacher will have some challenging time trying to keep him challenged! :)
