Well, I guess I failed my test and a smart car is indeed smarter than I am. I thought somehow my post about smart cars would magically link to Leslie's smart car slide show once she approved my trackback. I am now properly linking this to Leslie's cool blog page with her smart car slide show. Kim, or anyone, what did I do wrong?

Hey - it takes a VERY clever cookie to do such a fabulously glossy and wonderfully written website!
And I thought your trackback worked fine. :) It shows up next to the comments at the end of the article. And you already know how to do a link (which is a separate thing) from one website or blog, to another. Keep up the GREAT work! :) I'm enjoying it.

You did nothing wrong. :) The trackback is to link to from Leslie's site to yours, not vice versa. If you want to link to Leslie's site from within your entry, you need to do a normal link. Unless of course, Leslie decides she wants to trackback to you, in which case, she could write an entry on her blog about you, and add a trackback to your blog, which you would have to approve, and then the link goes the other way. Are we having fun yet. :D?

Mama Mia!! How complicated! I am even more lost than ever! I am now thinking that a link and a trackback would link it both ways. Yes? At least it was fun!

Yes, a link and a trackback will work both ways. :) Practice makes perfect.
