an interview with McCain on Palin's qualifications

Rob Caldwell, a reporter for WCHS, a local television station in Maine interviewed Senator McCain via satellite from Arlington, Virginia last Wednesday morning. In this interview, Senator McCain was repeatedly asked about Gov. Sarah Palin's qualifications for the vice presidency.

One of the questions in the interview:
Reporter's question: "What experience does she (Gov. Palin) have in the field of national security?"

Sen. McCain's answer: "Energy. She knows more about energy than probably anyone else in the United States of America."

Sen. McCain goes on to say (regarding the experience Gov. Palin has in the field of national security): "She happens to also represent a uh the governor of a state that is right next to Russia...She understands Russia"

I tried to embed the video into this blog, but I could not figure how to make it wait for you to click on "play" to watch the video and did not want it to automatically start playing every time you opened my blog. Instead I am providing the link.

CLICK HERE to watch the McCain video.

Even though the video's length is 8 minutes and 15 seconds, it is a video I believe every person considering voting for Senator McCain should watch. This interview not only demonstrates Governor Palin's lack of experience and knowledge, it demonstrates Senator McCain's poor judgement, irresponsibility, and his desire to win at all costs. If Senator McCain was honest in saying that he wants the best for this country, then how can he in good conscience choose Governor Palin as his Vice President?

I also found this interesting YouTube video - Senator McCain's thoughts (last year) regarding the qualifications of mayors and governors on national security experience:

Here are more links with examples of Senator McCain's "winning at all costs philosophy" - here and here and here.

Kim:

It looks like they've taken the interview down which kind of scares me.

Kim:

Nah - it's me - IE wouldn't load it but I can watch it through AOL (Haven't tried Firefox yet).

She did not come across well in the Charlie Gibson interview. I'm ready for the debates to get us back to the issues and give Obama some air time. The media has taken the Republican's bait and made it be "all-Palin-all-the-time" and it's getting us away from the heart of the matter!

Palin = Cheney + lipstick

Here’s something I read over the weekend that’s a good portrayal of who this woman really is, from The New York Times:

Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes

Hi Girasoli, oh my! Between these videos and the Palin interview which I also happen to catch . . . I have to say that I'm really looking forward to the debates.

Kim, I am glad the video is still there. Scary indeed!

Annie & Kathy, I am also looking forward to the debates. I just hope that people will not already be brainwashed to give Palin a "break" since she is a "woman".

María, I just found your comment in my junk folder. Not sure how it got there. I love the Palin = Cheney saying. So true! I have read a lot about Palin firing those that don't agree with her. I have seen the Real McCain 2 video and thought about posting it but have tried not to go overboard. Thanks for the links and video tips.
