where to start ~ Acqui Terme

I have not yet posted any photos from my time Acqui Terme because I have still not been able to organize them. I think part of the problem is that I was continuously lost in while staying in Acqui Terme. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED Acqui Terme, I just never found my bearings while there. I even took photos of ways to get from my hotel to the train station and still ended up getting lost!

So for today...here are a few random photos of Acqui Terme.

Oh that's gorgeous! I haven't been there but it looks great. :)

Kathy (Trekcapri):

Hi Girasoli, love these photos! I think I want to visit there one day too. Thanks so much for posting these. I can't wait to see more of them.

Have a great day today!

sandrac:

Lovely -- I like the jumble of roofs of buildings that are all different heights. I definitely want to visit Acqui Termi.

And Happy Birthday, Girasoli! (I believe I have the right date) Hope you have a wonderful year, with another great Italian trip.

It's your birthday?!? Well, happy birthday to you!

I'm really enjoying all the photos from your trip. I'm debating about whether to upgrade my camera before my December trip.

Acqui is definitely a gem! Yes today is my birthday. Thanks for all your good wishes :)

Annie, I really wanted a DSLR but just did not want to lug it around. I was very happy with my decision. I have seen a big difference in photo quality. What cameras are you considering?

Beautiful photos!! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! When do we stop by for cake? It is my aunt's birthday, too, actually.

Fabulous photos! I love the different angles showing the roof lines. Looks like an interesting place to spend a few days.

Chiocciola, wouldn't that be fun to have cake together! I had a delicious cheesecake with tons of calories and mg. of cholesterol! And it was deelish!! Happy Birthday to your aunt!!

María, Acqui was indeed quite interesting and very unique.

I haven't really done much camera research (although I did go back and read your old posts from when you were shopping - thanks!). Your G9 is something I might consider.

I have a Canon SD800 ELPH and I love the size. I've been happy with most of my photos except for the ones taken indoors. I've thought about going to the top-of-the-line ELPH but a friend told me that it wouldn't be that different from what I've already got. It might be that I need to keep this camera for traveling and get something else for home and indoor photos. What do you think?

I guess we will have to settle for virtual cake this time! Hope you had a wonderful day - sounds like the celebration at school was very nice.

Annie, if taking photos indoors in dim light is a priority, you might want to consider upgrading. The G9 was not too bulky (although definitely bigger than the ELPH series). I just read that the new G10 will be coming out in October. There haven't been any reviews on it yet. You might be able to find a good deal on the G9 somewhere. There are also other new cameras that have recently been announced. Are there any good camera stores in your area (that don't push a camera on you)? That might be a place to start. It is always a challenge finding that "perfect camera".

Chiocciola, a virtual cake sounds perfect! Maybe one day it will work out for all of us to get together somewhere and celebrate all of our birthdays together! My school celebration was perfect!
