sunset at Haleiwa Beach Park

After waking up early this morning with another massive migraine, I slept most of the day. I don't have the energy to hunt for a scary photo and so I have decided to skip PhotoHunt this week. Instead, I have decided to post the following...
(I will be back next week for another PhotoHunt entry.)

After a stressful day at work many months ago, I spontaneously drove up to the North Shore (with an older digital camera). I hung out on the beach for a while. I packed up and started heading home when the the sun was about to set because I don't like driving home in the dark from the North Shore. I didn't get far though. After driving only a few minutes, I could not resist stopping at Haleiwa Beach Park to take a few photos of this beautiful view. I ended up driving home in the dark after all, but it was worth it. Although a little blurry, this is one of my favorite photos.

Oh my stars! what an incredible photo!

Hey - I just completed another of my coffee table books - I'm about to publish it. They have just increased the quality of the paper - it's fun making my own picture books. :)

This new one will be 13"X11" - so the actual picture size will be about 10.5" square. Less than a dollar a page and one has a coffee table book - with top quality covers and printing.

My favorite place in the world, Susan!
Here's my favorite meal:
Grilled Crab and Shrimp Melt...
~ a blend of crab, bay shrimp, celery, onion, mayonnaise and cheddar cheese grilled on sourdough bread.
Then, I always add in a couple of tall iced glasses of iced tea and mac nut pie for 'zert! YUM!
All this and much more at Jameson's by the Sea...

Sorry about the damned migraine. What's going on? I thought that you were getting less of them.
Big hug,

Amy:

Beautiful photo!

No more migraines for you, young lady! You've had more than your fair share this year.

Awesome photo! I hope that you're feeling much better today. Sorry to hear about the headache. Happy Sunday!

Kathy (Trekcapri):

Hi Girasoli, sorry to hear about your bad migraine. Wow, that looks like a postcard! I love sunsets and especially when they are in a beautiful setting like Haleiwa! Gorgeous, we sure don't get sunsets like that here.

BTW, that Crab and Shrimp melt sounds sooooo good!

Take care and hope you feel better!

sandrac:

That is a gorgeous photo. But I'm so sorry to hear you're suffering through another migraine. I hope this one doesn't linger.......take care of yourself.

Glad you all enjoyed the photo. Haleiwa is one of my favorite places on Oahu. Thanks for being concerned about my migraines. I wish I had the answer to preventing them. Not really sure what is going on. Maybe it is just too much McCain and Palin! Hopefully they will both disappear very soon!

Leslie, I am so envious!! That is one of my goals. I am a little closer to it now that I have this new computer that is much faster. What program are you using? Is it blurb?

Brenda, I have eaten at Jameson's a couple of times. Food was ok both times but the view is always wonderful. I will have to try the Grilled Crab and Shrimp Melt the next time I am there.

Kim:

Do you know what, I think I'm just going to focus on our visit to Hawaii in June, and pictures like that one sure do make it easy! I can almost feel the warm evening breeze now.

Hi G: Hope you are feeling better~great photo! It's hard to believe these beautiful places actually exist! Love visiting your website for the reminders...Have a good one, M.

Kim, happy to help! Do you have your dates yet?

menehune, even though I live here, the beauty still astounds me all the time!
