connected once again...

Lucky me! I talked my cable company into coming out today (even though I was not going to be home during their working hours) to check the outside connections to see if that was the problem AND it was!!

When I arrived home after having a needle stuck in my lower eyelid (which hurt much more than the needle stuck in my neck 11 days ago as part of my shoulder manipulation procedure for my frozen shoulder), I found a note on my door saying that the problem was fixed.

Hooray!! I am connected once again!

My eye is pretty sore right now. I think I am going to indulge in a pain pill right now and hit the sack. I will post my PhotoHunt post tomorrow morning and write about my eye situation (don't worry, no blindness or anything) as well as my frozen shoulder experience in a later post. .

Buona notte. Night all.

Yay! Glad it's fixed. And too many needles lately - hope you got some rest and are feeling better!

About the Donna Leon books - I didn't read them in order and it was fine, but I kind of wished that I had read them in order. But you won't be confused or anything if you don't start with the beginning.

Gosh! You're going through a tough time! I feel for you.

I have to leave here at 7am in the morning. I have had a fantastic time! Did I tell you I flew up to see my sister who I hadn't seen for 25 months. I also got to see her 3 daughters and my mom.

Amy:

Honey! Feel better. Glad you're back online.

I hope you are feeling better soon. The needle in the eye sounds terrible. And I know how difficult to be cut off with no internet. :)

Gosh, G: Hope you feel better - the process sounds - painful! Glad to hear you are back on line...Sweet dreams, M

Thanks everyone. That pain pill really knocked me out last night. Although still swollen and a little sore, my eye is much better today.

Annie, thanks for the info on the books.

Girasoli, this frozen shoulder business sounds utterly ghastly -- I'm so sorry you're going through so much pain.

Now, needles in your eyelid! Is it connected with the frozen shoulder? This all sounds so painful. I hope the painkillers are strong, and that you're able to get your rest.

I've been meaning to catch up with you about your shoulder. I hope that some of these treatments are starting to loosen it up for good. It effects every aspect of movement to not have shoulders and shoulder blades in order. I had a year of physical therapy in Germany for a frozen shoulder and then a lot of acupuncture as well -- the acupuncture helped more than the therapy did. It still acts up in rainy cold weather, but yoga helps tremendously to keep the shoulders and shoulder blades pliable. If I start feeling the pain coming on and the tightness in my arm I really start focusing on yoga for that area. I hope you a get a sense of wellness going for yourself -- nothing better than feeling well to give us energy.

Needle in our eyelid??? That sounds beyond awful! Hope it is better now!

Brenda:

Yikes! Things are kinda scrambled for you right now, huh?
Acupuncture for the shoulder should be a good thing. I've had both wrists and an elbow treated with acupuncture and it was the perfect solution...no pills, only needles. I hate needles, so this was a struggle for me, but the needles won out over the pain!
Hope you are feeling a bit better today!
Ciao,
Brenda

The eye thing is not related to my shoulder (at least I doubt it is). That needle though really was not fun! Hopefully when I go back to my eye doctor this week, it will be my last visit. A weekend being a complete slug has helped some. I really appreciate everyone's well wishes and advice. It has been an interesting time dealing with these aches and pains.
